Focus Garden Privacy Policy

Overview

Focus Garden is a study timer and virtual garden app. The app is designed to work locally on your device. You do not need an account to use the MVP.

Local Data

The app stores your onboarding choices, focus sessions, garden progress, settings, reflections, and focus ratings locally on your device. You can delete local app data from Settings. Cloud backup is not implemented in the current app; local export/import is device controlled.

Ads

Focus Garden uses Yandex Mobile Ads. Rewarded ads are optional and may provide an extra in-app reward; the base reward remains available if an ad is skipped, closed, or fails. Interstitial ads are capped and are not shown during focus sessions.

Personalized advertising is enabled by default outside GDPR regions. In the EEA, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, or when the device region is unknown, Focus Garden asks before enabling ad personalization. Declining personalization does not disable ads or rewards; Yandex continues with non-personalized ads. Firebase Remote Config determines the request country from the request IP address or Firebase Analytics country signal; if that result is unavailable, the app uses a conservative device-region fallback. Yandex location tracking remains disabled. Yandex and its advertising partners may still process device, network, and ad-interaction data needed to deliver, secure, and measure advertising according to their policies.

Analytics

Focus Garden uses AppMetrica and Firebase Analytics for product analytics. Analytics data sending is on by default and follows the Analytics switch in Settings. The AppMetrica integration disables location tracking, advertising identifier tracking, and AppMetrica crash reporting. Product events do not include names, email addresses, or user-written session notes. Firebase may derive an approximate country and process app/device identifiers as described by its SDK disclosures.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, the app may schedule local reminders and session-complete notifications on your device. You can disable notifications in app settings or Android system settings.
